Great CCB performance in sports

CCB had a great performance during the “Torneo Nacional Infantil AACBI” hosted by The English School in Bogotá. Our student athletes faced the competition with boldness and respect. Their growth has been notorious and it is a source of great pride for the school. They measured themselves against competitors from different schools and in the end these were the fruits of their labours:

Girls Football: 3rd Place🥉
Boys Basketball: 3rd Place 🥉
Boys Football: 4th Place

Big shout-out to our up-and-coming athletes and their coaches! To our Coaches Angie Riveros and Iván Guzmán (Girls Football), Michael Torres (Boys Basketball), Stiven Peláez (Boys Football), and CCB Extracurriculars Coordinator, Diego Bernal, thank you for your guidance and support.

📓✏️Our Students in the UK! 🇬🇧

Travel Log # 1

Our 27 6th grade students arrived at Heathrow
Airport in London brimming with excitement and expectations. For the last week they’ve been greeted by students at Barnardiston from different parts of the world and brought up to speed on the way the exchange works. Juliana Diez, CCB’s MYP Counsellor and travel companion, says that our
students have shown so far a wonderful adaptation
to the experience. They have grown in autonomy
and agency, establishing meaningful relationships
with their Barnardiston peers on their own!

And the journey has just begun.

Camila and Verónica Hernández Garrido, class of 2014 and 2017, respectively, have multiple achievements regarding their professional careers and are a clear example of our GreenBeats spirit.

A CCB National Champ

Santiago Aguilera González, from class 2018, is a clear example of having a dream, working hard for it, and achieving it. Santiago started swimming at age 8 and recently became national champion in the Colombian National Championship held in Barranquilla, Colombia from the 15th to 19th of June, in five different categories.

Eco-Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Our GreenBeat Natalia Osorio, class 2001, has shown that taking action to save the planet can be easy and adds a very interesting value to small and medium-sized businesses. Her company, Naturesse, was recently recognized by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) as an eco-innovative global reference due to Natalia's entrepeneurship.
