Kicking off the 2021-2022 School year
If you are a member of the CCB Community, you are part of the Team!
We are excited to be back in school! it’s been wonderful to have our students back in the classrooms for the beginning of this school year.
We faced many challenges to be where we are now. the ccb team, comprised of students, parents and staff, has brought its “a-game” and is looking forward to a fantastic year.
Let the games begin!
To know just how awesome it felt to celebrate our CCB Houses inauguration on Friday September 10, you had to be there. The mood was electric! From EC to Secondary, flags were waved to and fro followed by the chanting and cheering of hundreds of students brought together by this CCB tradition.
They expressed such love for what this School stands for that they danced, paraded and laughed as they heard the names “Canning”, “Ferguson”, “O’Leary”, and “Rooke”, coming from the speakers. We even had alumni give a speech on what their house colours mean to them and how proud they are of this legacy. See it for yourselves on this video!
Once a CCB Student, always a CCB Student. The only difference is that now you’re a part of Greenbeats, CCB’s Alumni Association. Here are some of the latest news from our exciting community.
The Hernández Garrido Sisters
Whether it’s architecture, or economics and government, the Hernández Garrido sisters have proved to be yet another pair of outstanding alumni. Camila and Verónica Hernández Garrido, class of 2014 and 2017, respectively, have multiple achievements regarding their professional careers and are a clear example of our GreenBeats spirit.
A CCB National Champ
Santiago Aguilera González, from class 2018, is a clear example of having a dream, working hard for it, and achieving it. Santiago started swimming at age 8 and recently became national champion in the Colombian National Championship held in Barranquilla, Colombia from the 15th to 19th of June, in five different categories.
Eco-Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Our GreenBeat Natalia Osorio, class 2001, has shown that taking action to save the planet can be easy and adds a very interesting value to small and medium-sized businesses. Her company, Naturesse, was recently recognized by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) as an eco-innovative global reference due to Natalia's entrepeneurship.
